Guest Editor: Prof Ed Galea, FSEG University of Greenwich, UK

A special issue of the journal Safety Science with a focus on Evacuation and Pedestrian dynamics is planned for publication before the end of 2010.  The special issue will provide an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to present the most recent developments in evacuation and pedestrian dynamics research. The focus of the issue is intentionally broad, covering:

- evacuation and pedestrian dynamics,
- modelling and experimental research,
- safety, security and circulation applications
- within the built, urban, maritime, aviation and rail environments.

- All papers will be peer-reviewed. - Deadline for submission of full manuscripts: end March 2010.
